How-to guides

Walkthroughs illustrate the steps and do not change your account.

30 guides

Account & team · 4 stepsProtect your account with two-factor authenticationSet up an authenticator app and use a six-digit code after sign-in.
  1. 1Open account security

Sign in, open Settings from your account menu and select Account Security. Choose Manage two-factor authentication, then Set up authenticator app.

  2. 2Scan and verify

Scan the QR code with your authenticator app, or enter the manual setup key. Enter the current six-digit code and choose Enable two-factor authentication. Setup is incomplete until the code is accepted.

  3. 3Sign in with your second factor

Sign in using your password or passkey. When requested, enter the current authenticator code and choose Verify and continue. Remember me does not bypass a required security check.

  4. 4Manage authenticators

Return to Manage two-factor authentication to add another authenticator or remove one. Removal requires a fresh code from that authenticator. Removing the last one disables 2FA. Cancel setup discards an unfinished registration.

Account & team · 3 stepsRecover your passwordRequest a reset email and choose a new password securely.
  1. 1Request a reset email

Choose Forgot password on Sign in. Enter your account email, complete the security check and submit the request.

  2. 2Open the email link

Check your inbox and spam folder. Open the newest reset link in the same browser. If it has expired, request a fresh one. Complete your authenticator check if 2FA is enabled.

  3. 3Choose your new password

Enter and confirm a password with at least 12 characters, lowercase and uppercase letters, digits and symbols. Save the new password and return to your workspace.

Account & team · 4 stepsAdd a passkey and sign in with your deviceUse a fingerprint, face, device PIN or security key on mylink.contact.
  1. 1Sign in and confirm your email

Sign in on mylink.contact with your email and password. Confirm your email first if you have just created an account. Open Settings, choose Account Security, then Manage passkeys.

  2. 2Add your passkey

Choose Add a passkey and follow your browser or device prompt. You can use a supported password manager, platform authenticator or security key. Complete its fingerprint, face or PIN check. Cancelling leaves your existing sign-in unchanged.

  3. 3Sign in next time

On the sign-in page, choose whether to turn on Remember me, complete the security check and choose Sign in with a passkey. Remember me keeps this browser signed in across restarts; leaving it off shares a temporary session between open My Link Contact tabs. You do not need to enter an email address or password. Select the saved account in your device prompt and verify when asked.

  4. 4Manage or remove a passkey

Open Manage passkeys to see the names and dates of your saved passkeys or add a backup. To revoke one, choose Remove and confirm Remove passkey. You may also need to delete its saved entry in your device or password manager. If you lose access, use your password or Forgot password on the sign-in page.

Contacts · 5 stepsAdd contacts and choose preferred detailsKeep people, departments and their preferred email and phone number together.
  1. 1Add a person or department

Open Contacts, choose Company Contacts, then select the first Add contact card. Search contacts by name, label, department or email and sort A–Z or Z–A. In the modal, enter a contact label and person or department name. Job title and department are optional.

  2. 2Choose a preferred email

Enter at least one email address. Use Add email address for more, then turn on Preferred email beside the address you want used first. Only one address can be preferred.

  3. 3Choose a preferred phone

Enter at least one phone number, including the country code where possible. Choose its phone type and turn on Preferred phone beside your first-choice number. Selecting another number moves the preference.

  4. 4Save the contact list

Optionally add a PNG, JPEG or WebP photo up to 2 MB. Choose Save contact in the modal to keep it, or Cancel to discard it. Use a card’s Settings to edit, remove or set the default contact.

  5. 5Remove or replace details carefully

Keep at least one email and one phone number. Removing a preferred email or phone selects the first remaining entry. Removing the saved contact marks its previously shared snapshots Removed, retaining history but disabling email, phone and export actions for them. Confirm removal in the card’s Settings. Copies already downloaded cannot be recalled.

Contacts · 4 stepsImport company contacts from CSVMap your columns, check the results and save the imported contacts.
  1. 1Open the importer

In Contacts, choose Company Contacts, open Add contact beside the title and choose Import contacts (.csv).

  2. 2Supply the CSV

Upload a CSV file or paste its contents. Include a header row and a name, email address and phone number for each contact.

  3. 3Check the column mapping

Match your columns to name, email and phone. Map optional labels, job titles and departments where available. Exports from My Link Contact also preserve multiple addresses, phone types and preferred details.

  4. 4Resolve conflicts and save

Review the conflict count and compare incoming details with each possible match. Choose Keep both, Replace selected contact, or Skip imported row. If replacing, select the intended contact. Replacements preserve its photo and default selection. Keeping duplicate labels and emails gives the added contact a distinct label. Resolve every conflict, choose Apply import to save the reviewed contacts. Cancel import discards the import choices. Previously shared details are not updated automatically.

Contacts · 4 stepsDownload selected connection contactsSelect several contacts and export VCF, a ZIP of contact files, or CSV.
  1. 1Find your connection contacts

Open Contacts and switch to Connection contacts. Search by company, person, department, email or phone to narrow the list.

  2. 2Select the contacts

Turn on the Select toggle beside individual contacts or use Select all shown. Selections stay selected when you change the search, so check the selected count before exporting.

  3. 3Choose scope and format

Use Export selected at the top. Choose Selected contacts, or All available contacts if that is what you need. Pick a combined VCF, ZIP containing separate VCF files, or CSV.

  4. 4Import into your address book

For VCF, open the downloaded file with your contacts app. For a ZIP, extract it first, then open the individual VCF files. Use CSV with a spreadsheet or an address book that supports CSV import.

Connections · 5 stepsShare or replace introduction contactsChoose exactly which details to share and understand when they become visible.
  1. 1Save your updated details first

To change a phone number or another detail already shared, open Contacts → Company Contacts, open its Settings, choose Edit and Save contact. Older shared copies are marked Details changed; saving alone does not share the new values.

  2. 2Open an introduction

For an existing connection, open Introductions → Connections and find the business. Choose Change shared contacts to load your latest saved details. You can also choose contacts when accepting an incoming request or editing an eligible outgoing request.

  3. 3Select the right contacts

Search and select one or more saved contacts. You can add a person or department from the selector if the right contact is missing.

  4. 4Confirm both agreements

Review the details, then turn on both agreements: sharing these contact details and agreeing to be contacted by the other business. Check them again if you change the selected contacts.

  5. 5Save for this introduction

Choose Save shared contacts. The recipient sees Updated contact and can download the fresh details from Connection contacts. Repeat for any other connections you want to update. For a new incoming request, complete acceptance instead; pending requests keep details private until acceptance.

Connections · 4 stepsAsk a connection for updated contactsRequest fresh details without using an outgoing introduction allowance.
  1. 1Open an accepted connection

Find the accepted introduction in Introductions. Use Request updated contacts · Free. Billing-only accounts cannot make these requests.

  2. 2Explain what you need

Write a reason of 10–500 characters, then submit the request. If a request is already pending or a limit applies, the app explains why another cannot be sent.

  3. 3Review incoming requests

The other business can open Contact requests from Overview to see who requested the details and when. They can fulfil or decline the request.

  4. 4Receive approved details

To fulfil a request, the recipient selects contacts and confirms both sharing agreements. The new details replace their shared selection for that introduction and appear in Connection contacts.

Account & team · 4 stepsInvite your team and choose rolesUnderstand team places, pending invitations and the three access roles.
  1. 1Check your team places

As an administrator, open Settings, then Team. The summary cards show members including the primary administrator, pending invitations and available places. Select the members or pending summary to filter the list, use the role cards, or search by name, email or role. Invitations reserve places. If there are no available places, Invite explains the limit. Only the platform owner can change rollout allowances, from Owner > Members > Manage team allowance. Return to Team after saving the allowance, or choose Refresh team if it is already open.

  2. 2Choose Invite

Select Invite team member and enter the person’s name and email address. Choose Send invitation. An invitation email is queued and a copyable link is shown. View invitation link on the pending card lets you copy it again. Invitations expire after seven days. The link opens Create account so a new recipient can choose a password and confirm the invited email. Existing users can sign in with that address instead. Then choose Join team. Use an account that does not already have its own business.

  3. 3Choose the right role

Administrator manages the workspace, billing and team. Billing handles membership and payment information. User manages business content and introductions, with no billing or team-settings access.

  4. 4Review the team list

The Add team member card stays first. Use the alphabetical sort toggle, search and refresh icon. Cards show role, access status and account or invitation dates. Administrators can email an active member a private sign-in link, or copy the sign-in page so the person can request their own. Sign-in links go to the member’s verified email; they are not exposed for an administrator to copy. Administrators can also change roles, cancel invitations or remove members after confirmation. Cancellation invalidates the invitation. Removal stops new workspace access. The primary administrator cannot be removed here. Each person retains separate account settings and security.

Getting started · 4 stepsClaim your company profileFind the company, confirm authority and follow its ownership checks.
  1. 1Find the company

Open Claim your business from the website footer. Search by company name or registration number, select the correct company and sign in to begin the claim. If it is missing, register your business directly.

  2. 2Confirm your details and consent

Use your confirmed account and describe your role and the evidence that supports your authority in 20–2,000 characters. Confirm that you are authorised to represent the company.

  3. 3Follow the review

Open your claims to follow its status. We review the company details and your authority to represent it. You can withdraw a pending claim.

  4. 4Read the outcome

Read the recorded decision in your claim; a service email is also queued. Approval lets you open the checked company workspace on Free. Review your details and explicitly publish when ready. For company removal, use Contact and choose Remove my company from the website.

Account & team · 4 stepsChoose your app layout and profile photoPreview navigation positions and keep personal details separate from business contacts.
  1. 1Open your account settings

Open the account menu and choose Settings. Use Personal Details to change your name or upload a profile picture.

  2. 2Preview navigation positions

Switch to App Settings. Under Your app layout, compare the illustrated Left sidebar, Right sidebar, Top navigation and Bottom navigation options.

  3. 3Try compact icons

Use Show navigation as icons only to compare a compact layout with labelled navigation. The illustrations reflect your choice.

  4. 4Save your preference

Save the app settings to apply your layout. You can return here to change it again. Use the theme control beside your account area to switch light and dark appearance.

Business profile · 4 stepsPublish business requests and set your top priorityTell businesses what would help, then keep your highest-priority request first.
  1. 1Add a current business request

Open Business requests and choose Add a business request. Give it a clear title and explain what help you are looking for.

  2. 2Describe the opportunity

Add details within the 1,000-word limit and save. Describe real requirements and availability rather than promising work you cannot offer.

  3. 3Choose your current focus

Move the most important request to Position 1 with Move up or by dragging its handle. You can also focus a handle and use the arrow keys. Position 1 is shown on your business card.

  4. 4Keep business requests current

Edit a request when circumstances change. Choose Close this request once it is no longer relevant. Closing the first request promotes the next one.

Support · 4 stepsSend feedback and follow its progressExplain a problem, attach useful evidence and find the saved report later.
  1. 1Choose the topic

Open Help & feedback and choose Talk to the platform team. Pick a topic such as Report a problem or Suggest an improvement.

  2. 2Explain what happened

Write between 10 and 3,000 characters. Include what you tried, what you expected and what happened instead.

  3. 3Add helpful evidence

Attach up to five PDFs or PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF images, with a combined size of 10 MB. You can also add valid HTTPS image or video links. Remove anything you do not want to share.

  4. 4Find the saved report

Choose Send feedback and wait for confirmation. Open Your feedback and use Search feedback to find your report, its status and replies from the platform team. If sending fails, your draft stays in the form so you can try again. In the separate training demo, Submit demo feedback saves only a local example.

Connections · 4 stepsRead business and connection notificationsFollow business checks, publication, saved changes and connection updates.
  1. 1Open your inbox

Choose Notifications under Your network. The badge shows unread items. The inbox includes business check decisions, publication and unpublication, saved profile, product, business request and company contact changes, plus introduction requests, responses, reminders and shared-contact updates.

  2. 2Follow an update

Choose View notifications on a toast, then follow the item’s link to My business, products and services, business requests, company contacts or the relevant introduction. Following the link marks that item as read.

  3. 3Manage unread items

Use Show unread only, Mark as read or Mark all as read. Reading does not delete the history. Load older notifications to see more of the inbox.

  4. 4Reconnect after being offline

The app catches up when its connection returns or you return to the tab. If an error remains, use Refresh in Notifications. New updates do not clear forms you are editing.

Getting started · 4 stepsCreate an account and confirm your emailRegister with your email and password, complete the security check and confirm your address.
  1. 1Enter account details

Choose Create account from Sign in. Enter your email address and a unique password of at least 12 characters including lowercase, uppercase, a digit and a symbol, then repeat it in Confirm password.

  2. 2Complete the security check

Complete the Turnstile check and read the Terms and Privacy notice. Choose Create account once the security check succeeds. If it expires, complete it again.

  3. 3Confirm your email

Check your inbox and open the confirmation link in the same browser where you registered. If you already have an account, sign in or use Forgot password instead.

  4. 4Review your account status

After confirmation and sign-in, open My business to save your private profile. Settings contains your personal details, Account Security and app preferences. Signing in does not verify your business or grant platform-owner access.

Getting started · 4 stepsSign in with email and passwordSign in securely, check your account status and sign out on a shared device.
  1. 1Open Sign in

Open Sign in from the public website. Enter your confirmed account email and password. Turn on Remember me to keep your session across browser restarts on a trusted device. Leave it off for a temporary session shared between open My Link Contact tabs; refreshing a tab keeps you signed in.

  2. 2Complete the security check

Wait for the Turnstile security check to succeed, then choose Sign in. If the request fails or the check expires, complete the new check before trying again.

  3. 3Check your account

Open Settings, then Account Security for Change email address, Change password, Manage passkeys and Manage 2FA. Change password opens a dialog: enter and confirm your new password, then save. You stay in Account Security. My business contains your private business profile.

  4. 4Sign out or recover access

Choose Sign out when you finish on a shared device, even with Remember me off: browsers can restore closed tabs. If you cannot sign in, choose Forgot password on the sign-in screen. If the service is unavailable, retry later or visit Support.

Connections · 4 stepsFind a business and review its profileUse search and filters, inspect a business and find an existing introduction.
  1. 1Search the network

Open Discover businesses, then choose All businesses or Browse all businesses from the recommendations tab. Search by business, need or location. The search also considers summaries and saved office locations.

  2. 2Combine the filters

Choose a country, category and the connection a business welcomes: Customers, Suppliers, Referral partners, Collaboration partners or Other. Country matches its registration, headquarters or offices. Businesses can choose several connection types in My business. Search by business name or website, too. Your own profile appears with a Your business label; an unpublished profile is visible only to your team. It is never recommended to itself. Results update as you change the filters; use Clear filters to start again. On PRO, select Save this search after choosing filters. Give it a name to keep its search text, country, category and connection type. Open Saved searches at the top right to apply, rename or delete a search. You can keep up to ten; deletion asks for confirmation.

  3. 3Inspect the business

Use Quick preview or View business to review offers, what the business is looking for, websites, social links and locations. Cards show the first open request; previews include the others. PRO banner artwork sits behind the business name on cards, quick previews and full profiles, using the selected light or dark image. Hover over the status icon for an explanation, or select it to open the explanation on any device. A business check is not a guarantee of its services. The location count opens its offices or sites. Each location has an address and pin icon. Select Show map to load Google Maps for that address, or Open in Google Maps for directions and a larger view. Connection reviews appear last on the full profile.

  4. 4Choose the next action

Use an existing-introduction shortcut when shown to open its exact record. Otherwise start an introduction if eligible. Blocked or inactive businesses may be unavailable; payment does not override these restrictions.

Business profile · 6 stepsEdit your business profile, websites and locationsMaintain one consistent introduction across your profile tabs.
  1. 1Update the business introduction

Open My business. In Profile, review registration country, business type and name. Search Business category for your main activity. The shared catalogue covers all five countries, with 32 sectors and 188 specific activities, each with a description. For example, garages and car dealers sit under Automotive, pubs and restaurants under Food & hospitality, hotels under Accommodation & tourism, and recruitment agencies under Recruitment & staffing. Broad sector filters include their specific activities. Regional names such as auto repair, MOT, WOF and realtor are searchable. Choose the closest main activity, or enter a named custom category for specialist work. Select all Connections you welcome. Edit the formatted Short introduction, keeping it within 1,000 characters. Optionally choose a company logo: SVG, JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF or BMP up to 2 MB and 16 megapixels. Preview it, or choose Remove logo to return to initials. Choose Save profile to keep your changes. Images keep their proportions and are saved as still images. Publish saved changes when you want your category and connection preferences to appear in the directory.

  2. 2Customise your PRO business card

In Profile, use Business card banner to upload a JPG, PNG or WebP, or import a direct HTTPS image URL. Images must be at least 480 × 160 pixels, at most 2 MB and 16 megapixels. Drag, zoom or use the position sliders, then choose Use this crop. The 960 × 320 artwork fills each responsive identity header, so its edges may crop differently on cards, previews and full profiles. Keep important details near the centre and allow room for your business name. Keep one banner for both themes, or enable a different dark banner. Auto follows the active theme; a missing variant falls back to the available image. Each image is rebuilt as a still JPEG without source metadata, up to 300 KB. If imports are blocked, upload the file instead. Save profile, then publish saved changes to update the directory. Adjust crop can reposition a saved image; upload the original to recover previously cropped areas. PRO is required to add or replace banners; existing images may be kept or removed after downgrading.

  3. 3Add social links and websites

In Social media, choose Add social account, select a platform or Custom platform, enter its HTTPS link and save. Custom platforms also need a name. The Add card stays first. Sort saved cards A–Z or Z–A. Click a saved card to edit it, or open its settings icon for Visit, Edit and Delete. Visit is also available in the edit modal. Delete asks for confirmation. Websites and Public reviews use the same card and modal layout. Website cards show the domain and, where available, its favicon. Choose Make primary in a website’s settings to select your main website. In Public reviews, select Google Business Profile, Trustpilot or Custom review site. Add up to ten sites; custom sites also need a name. Ratings are not imported. Reviews contains feedback from My Link Contact connections. These links do not connect social accounts or publish posts.

  4. 4Maintain headquarters and offices

Open Locations and choose Add location. Select the country, then enter a location name, street address, optional unit or second address line, city, region and postal code. Labels adapt for UK, US, Canadian, Australian and New Zealand addresses. Save the modal to create a card. The Add card stays first; sort saved locations A–Z or Z–A. Click a card to edit it, or open its settings icon for Edit, Make primary and Delete. Confirm removal when deleting. Promoting an office retains the previous headquarters as another location.

  5. 5Save and request a business check

Choose Save profile for your main details. Other profile cards save from their own modal. Newly registered businesses do not need to claim a listing: choose Request business check in the Your business profile notice, confirm your authority and submit. The request appears in Owner > Verification. You can minimise the dialog while waiting. After owner approval, choose Publish business profile and confirm what members may see. Later edits stay private until Publish saved changes. Manage publication reopens these controls; Unpublish business profile withdraws it from discovery. Your private workspace and existing introduction history remain.

  6. 6Preview your saved business

Choose Quick preview beside the page title for the same summary shown in discovery. Choose Full preview for the complete member-facing profile in the current tab, keeping your existing sign-in session. Both show saved details; save first to include edits. Closing Quick preview keeps your editing form intact. Save any drafts before opening Full preview, then use Back to My business to return. These actions do not publish a public website page.

Business profile · 4 stepsCreate, publish and find products or servicesBuild useful listing cards with formatted descriptions and external media.
  1. 1Create or edit a listing

Open Products & services and choose Add listing, or open an existing listing to edit. Enter a name up to 100 characters and a description of 1–500 characters. Formatting is supported.

  2. 2Add links and media

Add website and image URLs, optional social links and a supported YouTube or Vimeo video URL. Use valid HTTPS links. Viewers choose Load video before an embed loads; unavailable videos depend on the provider.

  3. 3Choose draft or published

Use the publishing control and save. If capacity is exhausted, keep the listing as a draft, unpublish another listing or manage PRO listing packs. Saving does not upload images or videos to My Link Contact.

  4. 4Find and maintain your listings

Search by title or description. Filter active listings and drafts, then sort alphabetically, by posting date or status. The Add product or service card stays first. Open a card’s settings for Edit or Delete. Deletion asks for confirmation; editing retains its original posting date.

Connections · 4 stepsSend an introduction and check your allowanceExplain the fit, select contacts and review before sending.
  1. 1Choose an eligible business

Find a relevant business in Discover and start an introduction. Both businesses need the required checks and participation. Existing requests, blocks, restrictions or exhausted allowance can prevent sending.

  2. 2Explain the reason to connect

Choose Referral partnership, Find a supplier or Offer relevant help. Write 20–800 characters explaining the fit and a useful next step. Do not treat an introduction as a guarantee of work.

  3. 3Choose contacts and consent

Select the contacts you are willing to share and confirm the sharing agreements. Adding or changing contacts requires you to check consent again. Contact details stay private until mutual acceptance.

  4. 4Send and follow progress

Check the summary and send. Open Introductions to find the outgoing request, its timestamp and status. Continue the conversation through your own tools after acceptance; My Link Contact has no chat inbox.

Connections · 4 stepsAccept, decline or remind an introductionHandle requests and understand which messages and contact details are shared.
  1. 1Open the right request

Use the incoming or outgoing introduction view, an Overview request link, or an existing-introduction shortcut. Read the purpose, business profile and request before deciding.

  2. 2Accept with selected contacts

Choose Accept, select the contacts to share and confirm both agreements. Optionally add a formatted message up to 3,000 characters. Confirm acceptance to disclose the approved contacts to both participants.

  3. 3Decline when unsuitable

Choose Decline. Add an optional reason up to 500 characters or leave it blank. The reason is visible to the sender as well as you; private contact details remain undisclosed.

  4. 4Send one reminder if still pending

On your pending outgoing request, use the reminder action once after three days. It records the reminder, adds a notification and queues a service email without consuming another request. It is unavailable after use or when restrictions apply.

Membership · 4 stepsReview membership, upgrade or downgradeUnderstand the price, allowances and consequences before changing plans.
  1. 1Review your billing summary

As Administrator or Billing, open Settings, then Billing. The Billing tab shows membership, add-on costs and their combined total for the selected monthly or annual period. Incoming introductions have no plan quota, subject to eligibility and safety controls.

  2. 2Review an upgrade

Read the PRO benefits in Billing. Public paid activation is not available yet. The platform owner can use Open sandbox checkout to test a monthly or annual card subscription through Paddle. Only a confirmed backend update records the test subscription. Sandbox checkout does not turn on paid workspace access. Annual PRO costs £429 and annual packs cost £55 each. Referral rewards are not active yet; monthly-to-annual changes for existing subscriptions remain in preparation.

  3. 3Prepare for a downgrade

Before moving to Free, review listings, open requests and team capacity. Ask the owner about a change to rollout access. Do not assume cancelling a sandbox subscription changes your workspace plan: those states are separate. Read any allowance warning and reduce usage where required; cancellation and final paid downgrade handling must be accepted before live billing.

  4. 4Confirm and check the result

Review the current subscription and any scheduled cancellation in the linked Paddle sandbox portal. Changes affect the test subscription only. Your rollout membership is managed separately by the platform owner. Live paid changes will be enabled after testing and approval.

Membership · 4 stepsManage add-on packs and view invoicesAdjust capacity without reducing it below current usage.
  1. 1Choose the pack type

Open Billing > Add-on packs. Select listing, business request or team packs. Business request packs are also reachable from Business requests and team packs from Team. Free must upgrade before adding packs.

  2. 2Review total quantity and cost

Enter the total number of packs you want, including existing packs. Each pack costs £5/month or £55/year, excluding applicable tax, and follows the PRO billing period. Mid-term pack changes take effect immediately; proportional charges or credits go on the next combined renewal bill. Review Payment now, the next bill including adjustments and following renewals before confirming.

  3. 3Reduce usage before removing capacity

Unpublish listings, close business requests or free reserved team places before reducing below usage. Pending team invitations reserve places. Zero removes a pack type when usage fits within the included allowance.

  4. 4Open Paddle billing details

The platform owner can open the linked Paddle sandbox customer portal to inspect test invoices and payment details after a test purchase. Other members cannot make paid purchases yet. Sandbox documents are not real charges. Keep test subscription and workspace allowance changes separate.

Account & team · 4 stepsChange your personal account emailReview an email change without altering the business contacts you share.
  1. 1Open Account Security

Open the account menu, choose Settings and select Account Security. Choose the Change email address card. This tab also contains Change password, Manage passkeys, Manage 2FA and Sign out.

  2. 2Enter a different address

Enter the new personal account email. Whitespace and letter case are normalised. Correct any validation or duplicate-address message.

  3. 3Check before confirming

Review the current and new addresses. Use Edit address to correct it or Cancel to leave the address unchanged.

  4. 4Confirm in both inboxes

Choose Send confirmation emails. Open the links sent to your current and new addresses in this browser. Your sign-in address changes only after confirmation. Company contacts and previously shared introduction snapshots are unchanged. In the separate training demo, Confirm demo email change updates only the local profile.

Account & team · 4 stepsReset your passwordRequest a recovery email and set a new password using its secure link.
  1. 1Open password recovery

Choose Forgot password? on Sign in. Enter your account email, complete the Turnstile security check and choose Send reset link.

  2. 2Open the email link

The result does not reveal whether an email has an account. If your account matches, check your inbox and spam folder. Open the reset link in this browser.

  3. 3Enter matching passwords

Enter at least 12 characters in New password and repeat the same value in Confirm new password. Show passwords changes visibility. Correct mismatches before continuing.

  4. 4Use your new password

After saving, the account screen confirms the password change. Use your new password the next time you sign in. If the link could not be verified, return to Forgot password and request a fresh one.

Connections · 4 stepsInvite another business to joinCreate a referral link for a business that has asked to join.
  1. 1Check eligibility

Open Settings, then Billing and Business invitations. Your business must be checked and on PRO. Free still permits introduction requests to existing eligible members within its allowance.

  2. 2Create a link

Enter the business name, confirm that it agreed to receive an invitation and choose Create invitation. Review the referral notice, confirm you understand it and continue. Rewards are not active yet and the notice does not promise a discount. Cancel leaves your invitation allowance unchanged. Copy the link before leaving; its secret is shown only when created.

  3. 3Copy when requested

Choose Copy invitation link. If clipboard access fails, select and copy the text from the field. Share only with a business that has asked to join.

  4. 4Recipient follows onboarding

The recipient signs in or registers, then confirms the invitation. It is for a new business account. Accepting does not grant verification, Team access or guaranteed approval. The business still saves its details, requests a check and chooses whether to publish.

Safety & reviews · 4 stepsBlock, unblock or report a businessControl pairwise contact and report a concern for owner review.
  1. 1Open business settings

From the relevant business card, profile or introduction, open Business settings. Choose Block business to stop pairwise interaction, or Report business to submit a concern.

  2. 2Confirm a block

Read the effect and confirm. Both businesses disappear from each other’s app discovery, recommendations and introduction lists, and requests or reminders between them stop.

  3. 3Unblock when appropriate

Open Introductions > Blocked and choose Unblock. Confirm the change. Removing your block does not remove a block placed by the other business or a platform restriction.

  4. 4Report with context

For reporting, choose a reason and describe the concern in 20–2,000 characters before Submit report. Reports are private to the review process. Repeated reporting does not automatically restrict a business; the owner records a decision.

Safety & reviews · 4 stepsLeave, edit or remove a connection reviewShare feedback based on your own experience with an accepted connection.
  1. 1Open an accepted connection

Open an accepted introduction or the connected business profile. Choose Leave a review, or the edit action if you already have a review.

  2. 2Choose a rating and optional text

Choose 1–5 stars. Add an optional formatted review or testimonial up to 2,000 characters. Formatting does not count; avoid personal contact details and confidential information.

  3. 3Confirm your experience

Turn on the acknowledgement that this is based on your own experience, then Save review. A rating alone is allowed, but the acknowledgement is required.

  4. 4Update or remove later

Reopen your review to edit it or choose Remove my review. Editing updates the existing review. Blocking a business does not automatically erase reviews already left.

Getting started · 4 stepsResolve a claim that cannot continueFollow an ownership review, correct your evidence or recover an existing account.
  1. 1Check the selected company

Confirm the company is the one you represent. If it is missing, use registration. Sole traders register directly. A claim cannot replace an existing administrator.

  2. 2Submit your authority evidence

Choose Review and claim, read the selected company details, describe your authority and confirm the declaration. If your saved business name differs, correct it in My business before approval. Submit the claim and follow its status under Your claims. A confirmed account email alone does not prove ownership.

  3. 3Read a review decision

A pending claim shows Needs review. You can withdraw it before a decision. Read the recorded response after review; if approved, choose Open My business. If rejected or disputed, contact Support with the company details and decision rather than creating duplicate accounts.

  4. 4Recover access or request removal

For an already-claimed company, choose Recover account access. For an ownership dispute, open Contact and choose Ownership dispute. For removal, choose Remove my company from the website. Enter your name, email and message, complete the security check and choose Send message. Copy the confirmation reference. We aim to respond within 1–2 business days, excluding UK bank holidays.

Support · 4 stepsUnderstand saved data and get helpKnow what is saved to your account, what stays in your browser and which support route to use.
  1. 1Check what has been saved

Your saved business profile, logo, contacts, listings and business requests are stored in your private workspace. Wait for the save confirmation. Unsaved form edits are not a saved account record. Clearing browser data does not delete your saved workspace.

  2. 2Understand browser preferences

Light, Dark and Auto remember your theme preference. Remember me controls whether sign-in persists across browser restarts. The separate training demo has its own fictional records and reset controls; resetting it does not change your live account.

  3. 3Choose the right support route

Search How-to guides or Common questions in Support or Help & feedback. Use Contact to send a message with a reference and acknowledgement, or submit signed-in feedback with attachments. Company-removal requests have their own Topic option.

  4. 4Keep a copy where needed

Export available contacts if you need your own copy. No self-service full-workspace backup or restore feature is connected. Drafts and training-only changes can be lost; check whether a form needs Save before leaving.

Common questions

For detailed instructions, choose How-to guides above.

What is My Link Contact for?

Finding businesses whose capabilities and current business requests fit yours. Share what you offer and what you need, discover potential customers, suppliers or referral partners, and exchange contact details by mutual agreement.

How is this different from a directory?

My Link Contact brings capabilities, current business requests and preferred introductions together. You can assess the fit before making an approach, and contact details are shared only with mutual permission.

Is My Link Contact a replacement for my website?

No. Your profile is a short, fixed-layout introduction to your business. Your product and service listings point to the details on your own website. You do not need to recreate your whole site.

Who can join?

My Link Contact is for businesses in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The service is provided in English. Free includes one primary administrator. PRO supports Administrator, Billing and User roles. Business checks depend on the country and business type.

Can sole traders join?

Yes. Sole traders do not have a Companies House record, so their checks follow a separate route. They can use Free or PRO and must complete the appropriate checks before introductions are enabled.

What does “business checked” mean?

Selected details about the business and its connection to the account holder have been checked. It is not a credit rating, a quality guarantee or an endorsement. You should still do your own checks before agreeing work.

Can I browse without signing in?

You can explore the public walkthrough and help guides without an account. Browsing participating businesses and their business requests requires sign-in. A Free account does not require a paid subscription.

What can I do with a Free account?

Publish up to 15 product or service listings, browse participating businesses and their authorised business requests, share your own business requests, and send up to five introduction requests per month. Incoming requests can be accepted without upgrading.

What does PRO add?

PRO pricing is £39 per month or £429 per year, excluding applicable tax. PRO access includes 100 listings and 50 outgoing introduction requests each month, five open requests, five team users plus the primary administrator, personalised recommendations and invitations from checked businesses. Extra team packs add five places at £5/month or £55/year. Public paid activation is not yet available; owner-granted access is separate from Paddle sandbox testing. Additional Administrator, Billing and User accounts all count towards team places.

How does an introduction work?

Choose a business, explain the opportunity, and approve the contact details you are willing to share. The other business reviews your request. Contact details are disclosed only after they also agree. You then follow up through your own email, phone or meeting tools.

Can a Free member accept a request from a PRO member?

Yes. Receiving and accepting introductions does not require PRO and does not consume your outgoing request allowance. Both businesses must be verified and agree to the exchange.

How will I know someone wants to connect?

While you are signed in, a new introduction request shows a toast and updates the Notifications badge. Open Notifications to see requests, responses and contact updates, follow the introduction or mark items as read. Notifications remain for your next visit and also queue a service email. Delivery can be delayed or filtered by your mailbox. Device push is not enabled.

When does a request use my monthly allowance?

When a valid introduction request is sent and made available to the other business. Browsing a profile or viewing a recommendation does not use an allowance. An ordinary decline does not return the request credit.

What happens if someone declines or does not reply?

Their contact details stay private. Unanswered requests expire after seven days. You can send one reminder after three days while the request is pending; it appears in Notifications and queues a service email. A request is not a promise of a reply, meeting or sale.

Can other businesses see my contact details?

Your introduction contact details are shared with a business only after mutual agreement. Information you choose to publish on your profile or your own website may already be publicly accessible.

Can I list every item in my stock?

The platform is designed for a useful selection of products and services, not live inventory. Free has 15 published listings and PRO has 100. PRO can add packs of 10 for £5 per month or £55 per year, excluding applicable tax. Bulk inventory imports are not included.

Does My Link Contact host product images and videos?

Use your own image URLs and supported external video links or embeds. Select a product or service picture to open the gallery, fit or zoom the image, and move between pictures. Optional YouTube or Vimeo embeds are supported. My Link Contact does not host product images or videos or replace the media library on your website.

Can I invite another business?

Open Settings, then Billing and Business invitations. A verified, published PRO business can create up to ten invitation links in a rolling 12 months for businesses that have agreed to receive them. Cancelled and expired invitations still count. Before creating a link, review the referral information and confirm you understand it. Referral rewards are not active yet; the confirmation does not promise a discount. Share the link using your own communication tools. Links expire after fourteen days and can be cancelled. Accepting does not verify the recipient, share contacts or create a paid subscription. Team invitations are separate.

Do I chat, pay suppliers or sign contracts here?

No. There is no member chat or messaging inbox. After an accepted introduction, use your own email, phone, Teams or other preferred tools. My Link Contact does not handle supplier payments, contracts or project delivery.

Will joining guarantee new customers?

No. A relevant introduction helps you assess a potential customer, supplier or referral partnership. Whether you work together is for you and the other business to decide.

Is the platform live yet?

You can create a Free account, save your business profile and request a business check. Checked businesses can publish their profile and exchange introductions by mutual agreement. Paid subscriptions and add-on purchases are not available yet.

Can I publish more than three open requests?

PRO includes five open requests and Free includes three. Each planned paid pack adds five for £5 per month or £55 per year, excluding applicable tax. Paddle purchases are currently restricted to owner sandbox testing and do not change workspace allowances. Owner-granted capacity remains separate. Review your allowance in Billing before adding more requests.

Is claiming available to sole traders?

No. Claiming is for limited-company profiles found online and added by My Link Contact. Sole traders register directly.

How do I ask for my company to be removed?

Open Contact on the public website and choose Remove my company from the website in Topic. Enter your name and email, identify the company in your message, complete the security check and choose Send message. A confirmation window shows a reference you can copy, and an automated email acknowledges your request. We aim to respond within 1–2 business days. Working hours are 10am to 2pm UK time, Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays. You can also email info@mylink.contact directly.

Does editing a contact update every connection?

No. Shared contacts are snapshots of the details you explicitly selected. Use Change shared contacts on an introduction to replace your selection for that connection. A saved contact can have one preferred email and one preferred phone. Files already downloaded cannot be recalled.

Can I download several contacts at once?

Yes. In Contacts, open Connection contacts and select the contacts you need. Use Export selected at the top, then choose a combined VCF, ZIP of separate VCF files, or CSV. VCF is an address-book format used by Apple Contacts and other contacts apps. Unavailable shared contacts are excluded.

Do requests for updated contacts use my introduction allowance?

No. Eligible accepted connections can request updated contacts for free. The other business chooses which details to share and confirms both agreements. Pending-request, cooldown and daily limits still apply.

What is the difference between a contact and a team member?

A contact is a person or department whose details you can share with a connection. It does not grant account access. A team member signs in with their own account and has an Administrator, Billing or User role. Free includes the primary administrator. PRO includes five additional places, but paid activation is not available yet. During rollout, the platform owner can grant team places separately. Pending invitations reserve a place.

Who can see my saved business profile?

Saved details are private to your authorised business team. Saving does not publish or verify them. After a business check, you choose whether to publish the member-facing profile. Contact details require a separately agreed introduction. The platform owner can make limited support corrections with a recorded reason and audit history.

What does Remember me do?

Turn it on to stay signed in on this browser across restarts. Leave it off for a temporary session shared between open My Link Contact tabs. Browsers may restore tab sessions; always sign out on shared devices. Remember me does not bypass a required authenticator check.

Can I use passkeys and two-factor authentication?

Yes. In Settings, open Account Security to manage passkeys and authenticator apps. Passkeys use your device or security key. If you enable 2FA, an authenticator code is required whenever your session needs second-factor verification.

What if I lose my authenticator?

Use another authenticator registered to your account or restore your authenticator app from its secure backup. Password recovery does not remove 2FA. If neither is possible, contact Support for an account-recovery review. This setup does not provide recovery codes.
